Sikhism
Sikhism was founded by Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, and was founded around the 16 century. The people who follow the religion of Sikhism are called Sikhs. The goal of every Sikh is to develop a close and loving relationship with their God. Sikhism combines both Hindu and Muslim belief. Like the Hindu, they believe in reincarnation, like the Muslim, they believe in only one God. Sikhs believe that every one has equal status in the eyes of God, and that is why they do not have hereditary social classes. Adi Granth (Sri Guru Granth Sahib) is the sacred text that they base their lives around. The religion emerged from India and, unlike the other religion, it did not spread far from where it originated.
